Majestic Bay Theatresest. 1915 · rebuilt 2000

Majestic Bay Theatres is a family-owned, three-screen movie house in Ballard, built on the site of a 1915 vaudeville/silent-film theater that closed in 1997 after failing fire-code inspections and was demolished in 1999. Owners Kenneth and Marleen Alhadeff rebuilt it from the ground up as a maritime-themed triplex, reopening in October 2000 with jellyfish-shaped light fixtures crafted by local artisans.
